and you may already know that the construction on the dam began way back in 1927 and was not completed until 1954. “Our” Sutherland Reservoir is located approximately 6 miles northeast of Ramona and when full, has a maximum water depth of 145 feet, a 5.25 mile long shoreline miles; and a water storage capacity is 29,508 acre feet.
The photos below where taken at the end of summer and the lake is currently only 7% full. Its maximum water depth right now is about 61 feet, and it stores 2,152 acre feet.
